Design duo Camilla and Marc aspires to whisk you away, if only for the moment you get dressed, to the gilded, mirrored and bejeweled halls of Chateau de Versailles. Of course, they have re-imagined the baroque and ornamental look for the modern woman: ruffles in metallic leather, oversized jewel prints paired with tailored shapes, waterfall tops and the requisite Parisian stripes all done effortlessly. It’s France without the fancy pants. I could wander the halls of Versailles in my white jumpsuit and embody the juxtaposition of old and new that is happening there (see below). Book a winter flight to Paris (it’s cheaper and you can wear your faux fur and feel fabulous), stay on the left bank, eat a terrine of pig ears and take a trip out to feel like royalty if just for an afternoon.
